About Our Speaker

Thea Polancic is the Managing Partner of ClearSpace, LLC, a Chicago-based coaching and consulting firm that helps leaders, teams, and organizations scale and thrive. She is also the founder of the Chicago Chapter of Conscious Capitalism, a global non-profit dedicated to creating businesses that elevate humanity and create exceptional value for all stakeholders. 

Thea began her career launching new ventures in Russia in the late 1990s for Caterpillar. She was the Founder and CEO of FM Technology, a computer reseller and IT consulting firm in Moscow. She returned to the U.S. in 1999 and joined the strategy and organizational change practice of The Revere Group, a mid-market business and technology consulting firm. She and her partners founded ClearSpace in 2002, with a focus on equipping teams to turn strategy into reality through human transformation and down-to-earth execution skills. 

Over the past twenty years, she has coached CEOs, executives, and their teams to achieve extraordinary results. ClearSpace’s clients lead growth-stage, mid-market and Fortune 500 organizations around the world, in diverse industries including banking, hospitality, professional sports, tech, manufacturing, social services and the fine arts.  

Thea has undergraduate and graduate degrees in Russian Studies, Linguistics and the Visual Arts and is a published author in the humanities and business strategy. She lives in Chicago with her husband and son.

Betsy Sobiech is a founding partner of ClearSpace, LLC and Tiara International LLC. She is certified in Strategic Attraction Planning®, Best Year Yet®, The Effective Facilitator™, The Kolbe System™ for Individuals and Teams, and Hogan’s Leadership Forecast Series. She serves as a Leadership Coach at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business where she provides leadership development for emerging leaders in pursuit of their MBA degrees.

Betsy describes her approach as “wise, inspiring, practical, systemic, and – above all else – human-centered, helping people navigate personal, community, and organizational change with intention.” Her services often include leadership coaching, applied learning design, learning experience facilitation, effective communication strategy, and inclusive community engagement.

Betsy has over 20 years of experience in change management, people development, adult learning, group facilitation, team effectiveness, communications and more. Her industry and client experience includes tech, start-up, manufacturing, automotive, law, education, non-profit, and is always expanding.

Betsy holds a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Religion from Truman State University and master’s degree in Organization Development from Loyola University Chicago. Her collaborative partners include Lead True, The Revival, and Shakti Leadership.
