Amplify Your Thought Leadership

“Great things will never happen if you don’t lean in, embrace the courage to be seen, have the willingness to face your biggest fears, have the awareness to lead yourself, and believe with all your heart that you can do great things.”
– Nicole Mastrangelo Vildosola

“There’s a delta size gap between knowing you need to show up online and wanting to do the work required to earn attention, demonstrate authority and build trust.”
– Romi Wallach

Key Takeaways

Nicole kicked us off by highlighting that the pattern of discovery and engagement behavior permeates nearly every industry and is particularly critical for industries that demand high levels of trust. And she further qualified that this high-impact content is from people (not companies) as brands, but people within the companies aligning, delivering the brand message, and building trust.

According to McKinsey & Company:

  • More than two-thirds of today’s discovery process starts online on social media, and
  • On average, it takes approximately 7 hours of cumulative content consumption to develop enough trust before taking action (e.g., clicking, subscribing, messaging, etc.).

Both Nicole and Romi talked through various aspects of “Thought Leadership” in the digital world:

  • Thought leadership is more than a marketing or branding exercise- it’s a TRUST BUILDING exercise. Since people do business with people they know, like, and trust, your personal stories about your journey that are relevant to your audience will help you foster connection and build trust.
  • Trust and value are not built by regurgitating easily accessible information. AI is your thought partner – YOU are the thought leader.
  • Start by being SOCIAL on social media – engage daily, and HUMANLY. “Engaging doesn’t mean creating an original post; you can show meaningful engagement by commenting on other posts, too.
  • Before you post, ask yourself: What information or insights would be of value to my audience now? Why do they need to hear it? How can I also make that personal?  Nicole and Romi believe that your content plan lives in the answers.

About Our Speakers

Nicole Mastrangelo, CoFounder and CEO, The Daily Drip

Nicole traded in her successful corporate career in luxury sales and marketing to join her parents in ownership of our 30-year-old family pest control business.

Once implementing dynamic strategies to expand their digital presence through high-impact content and personal branding, the growth became immediate and transformative, and over the course of 7 years, drew the attention of other business owners within the industry and beyond.

Once she recognized this gap in the small business community, she began to volunteer as a mentor, helping owners apply and integrate digital strategies for success in today’s hybrid business landscape. Through mentorship, she became aware of the unique needs and challenges faced by many women in business, particularly regarding imposter syndrome.

The work of personal branding, storytelling, and thought leadership is about more than just building visibility. It’s about honesty and authenticity- being brave enough to be seen for who you truly are. That is what yields high-impact content that truly connects and inspires.

In 2021, Nicole founded The Daily Drip to help businesswomen find their voice and build the courage to amplify it. Today, she serves as CEO and Editor-in-Chief of this innovative omnichannel media platform.

Their ‘for us by us’ approach provides high-impact content for the modern businesswoman while amplifying the voices of local female industry experts and expanding their capacity for impact.

From Palm Beach to South Beach, The Daily Drip community continues to expand, evolve, and thrive. Next to motherhood, it has truly been the experience of a lifetime to be a part of something so special.

Romi Wallach, CoFounder and President of Community Engagement, The Daily Drip

Romi cut her teeth in the world of Business Development at a bright, bold age of 13 as she watched her father befriend just about anyone, create opportunities for so many through his thoughtful matchmaking, and motivate and inspire people to be a part of anything he was focused on- business, philanthropy, hobby, etc.- through his magnetic spirit.

This has shaped her approach to Business Development and to life.

At its simplest core, Business Development is nothing more than the ability to identify opportunities – opportunities for growth, opportunities to help, opportunities to reciprocate, opportunities to serve. Her reputation in the community as a “super-connector” and savvy strategist really just stems from these simplistic core values.

Romi’s professional journey led her to the proud role of Co-Founder of The Daily Drip, where she spearheads our Community Engagement, Corporate Sponsorships, and Business Development strategy.

Her community service is an integral part of her work and her life. She is a proud member of the Joe DiMaggio Planned Giving committee, a Board Member for Piper’s Angels Foundation, a 3 x Crossing Crusader and Mentor for the Crossing for Cystic Fibrosis, Mentor for the Crossing for CF, member of Women Know Y for the YMCA of South Florida, Club 211 Broward Lifetime Member, member of Junior Achievement’s Circle of Wise Women, and Co-President for the South Florida International Business Development Professional (IBDP) Association Chapter.

She is the proud mother of two young adults, Jonah and Abby, and has dedicated most of her adult life to raising them. Reentering the workforce at 40, she found herself starting her career while many of her peers were achieving their milestones. However, in a very short period of time, she was able to build her network, expand her influence, and her business by leaning into her core values of identifying opportunities and creating opportunities for others.
