The Recharge | Taking Risks & Networking to Find Your Joy

Our guest is a talented and respected leader, and a self-described “builder and connector.” Networking, for her, “is as natural as breathing.” Our guest is Kate Bensen!

After stepping away from her career as a corporate attorney, Kate became CEO of The Chicago Network. Under her leadership, she built a mentoring initiative to develop the next generation of women leaders. Her passion and commitment elevated the importance of achieving greater gender and racial equity across all levels of management and in boardrooms. She tells us about kindness, empathy, and curiosity. Learn how showing humanity changes relationships and why you might want to create your own personal board of directors.

Here’s Kate’s best advice on taking risks to experience more joy:

“Ask a really good friend to describe you and what you bring to the table and just take that in. That, I find, gives you the confidence to be courageous.”  – Kate Bensen
